"Let The Chaos Begin"

Acrylic on Canvas

24 x 18 inches

Painted in Year: 2023

When I turned 26, I had a strange realization.

My birthday falls on the 26th, and all through my teenage years I romanticized this milestone—believing that when I turned 26 on the 26th, life would feel absolutely perfect.

But when the day came, life was anything but perfect.

I felt like I had no control over anything—that no matter what I did, it would never measure up. What followed was a storm of rage, sadness, betrayal, and desperation. And the only thing I knew how to do was pour it all into a canvas. That painting became “Let The Chaos Begin.”

It carries every emotion of that time. To mark the moment, I painted 26 portraits—one for each year—as a gift to myself on my 26th birthday. After all, creating was the only thing I could truly do.

Can you count all 26 portraits in this painting?

"So Here I Am"

Acrylic on Canvas

24 x 18 inches

Painted in Year: 2024

The year after “Let The Chaos Begin” came another birthday, another turning point. At 27, I decided to face myself differently—not through fragments of chaos, but through an honest gaze.

This became my first self-portrait. A frame within a frame, holding myself steady while still letting life grow wild around me. The golden frame represents structure—the boundaries we’re placed in, or sometimes place ourselves in—while the sprouting leaves symbolize growth that refuses to be contained.

So here I am. Imperfect, unpolished, yet unafraid to meet my own eyes on canvas.

This painting marks a moment of acceptance—the realization that life doesn’t have to be perfect to be worth capturing.
