Part 1: Early Childhood
(1996-2006)
My membership on this planet began in 1996, in a small town called Ramgarh in the state of Jharkhand. Life was simple back then. Most of my days were spent in our little garden, where we grew vegetables and fruits. After school, I’d play with mud, shaping little sculptures, or paint on every wall, fabric, and piece of paper I could find. Looking back, creativity was my first language.
In 2006, everything changed when we moved to Delhi.
Part 2: School Years
(2006-2014)
Delhi opened my eyes in ways I wasn’t prepared for. The city gave me the courage to dream and to dare, but it also introduced insecurities—about my body, my skin tone, and so many things I had never questioned before
School was… tolerable, but not enjoyable. I grew quieter, shyer, and more withdrawn. Art became my only real friend.
At that time, I found myself torn between two passions—I loved the idea of becoming a professional chef just as much as I was drawn to the world of fashion. So, I sat for the entrance exams of IHM (Hotel Management) and NIFT (Fashion Technology), not yet knowing which path would shape the person I was becoming
I got selected for both, though I went with the latter.
Part 3: College Life
(2014-2018)
My college years were a turning point. Those four years were some of the most fun, liberating, and formative of my life. I shed my introvert mask and became fearless again.
I did street plays, sang on the mic, danced on stage, played volleyball and kabaddi, and conducted fashion shows.
Won a lot of medals and trophies, met incredible people and made deep and meaningful friendships.
This was also when I started making and selling art—custom sketches for seniors, murals for the campus, and paintings on walls. My creativity wasn’t just a hobby anymore; it was becoming a way of living.
Part 4: Real Life & Work
(2018-2019)
After college, I joined fashion export houses. I loved the work but the toxic environment drained me—constant stress and endless headaches. That’s when I realized: I couldn’t keep working like this.
I always knew I wanted to build something of my own, though I wasn’t sure where to start. Then I met someone whose strengths complemented mine—he brought experience and structure, while I brought creativity and ideas. We co-founded Zeddwork Studio in December of 2019.
Of course, this was just as Covid-19 hit. Factories shut, orders stalled. But our clients stayed, and eventually, things found their way back on track.
Meanwhile, during covid, I picked up my brushes again and restarted my art journey—painting, teaching, and collaborating during the pandemic.
Part 5: Now
(2020-Present)
It’s been five years since I started my business, and now I am in my late 20s, I find myself balancing passions like puzzle pieces—cooking on weekends, painting at night, writing in the mornings, and dedicating my afternoons to the business.
Over these years, I’ve had the privilege of working with fashion brands across the globe—from the USA, UK, Australia, and New Zealand to France and Germany—helping them bring their clothing lines to life through thoughtful garment manufacturing. I truly love what I do, not just for the work itself but for the incredible people I’ve met along the way.
A part of my work that’s especially close to my heart is collaborating with artisans from across India, bringing traditional crafts to an international audience. It’s about carrying heritage forward while creating something contemporary.
Beyond business, art and creation remain inseparable from who I am. Whether it’s painting, writing, or experimenting with something new, I know this one truth for certain: I’ll keep creating until my membership on this planet expires.
So here I am
